Notice of Proposed Transfer of a Licence Issued to Tororo Solar North Limited

In pursuance of its powers under Section 46 of the Electricity Act, 1999, the Electricity Regulatory Authority (hereafter referred to as the “Authority”), hereby gives notice under Regulation 12 (3) of the Electricity (Application for Permit, Licence and Tariff Review) Regulations, 2007, as follows:

1. On 15^th July 2016, Tororo Solar North Limited (hereafter referred to as the “Licensee”) submitted to the Authority, an application for approval of transfer of licence, in connection with Licence No. ERA/LIC/GEN/133 issued to the Licensee on 14^th September 2015.
    
2. Under the contemplated transaction, the Licensee seeks approval of the transfer of 50 shares held by Simba Telecom Limited in the Licensee to Building Energy S.p.A (46 shares) and Charles Muhumuza (4 shares), respectively.
    
3. In accordance with Regulation 12 (3) of the Electricity (Application for Permit, Licence and Tariff Review) Regulations 2007, the Authority will proceed to consider and communicate its decision to the applicant, in accordance with the provisions of the Electricity Act.
    
4. The purpose of this notice is to bring the above application of transfer of licence to the attention of the Public.
